Abstract

The electrochemical behaviour of the unsaturated cluster Os₃(H)(CO)₈[Ph₂PCH₂P(Ph)C₆H₄] has been studied by electrochemical and spectroscopic methods. The transformations of the very reactive title compound into the saturated cluster Os₃(H)(CO)₉[Ph₂PCH₂P(Ph)C₆H₄] and Os₃(CO)₁₀(Ph₂PCH₂PPh₂] by CO addition has been followed step-by-step by cyclic voltammetry.
