Abstract
[Machine translation] The aim of this article is to investigate pronominal adverbs, which consist of da (r) - as the first link; the contrastive (German-Italian) and DAF didactic perspectives come to the fore. As a first step, we look at the syntactic functions of pronominal adverbs. As a second step, units in Italian are identified that are morphologically similar to German pronominal adverbs. It is then shown how (r) pronominal adverbs are addressed in selected DAF textbooks and a case study of translations produced by italophonic DAF learners is described. The inventory of language devices that DAF students use to reproduce da (r) pronominal adverbs is compared with data derived from the analysis of a corpus of original German documents and Italian translations from the InterCorp database.
