Cutaneous Adverse Events Related To Treatment With Imatinib

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Treatment with Imatinib is generally well-tolerated, and in the majority of patients side effects are only represented by mild to moderate haematological toxicity (Druker 2001). However, a wide spectrum of cutaneous reaction related to imatinib administration has been reported in recent literature. In this chapter, a thorough description of cutaneous adverse events related to Imatinib treatment is provided and the pathogenetics hypothesis will be discussed.
