Abstract

[Machine translation] The article intends to address the issue of child protection within the conceptual framework of complexity and interdisciplinarity, with particular attention to the perspective of social service, understood as a discipline and as a profession. The proposed reflections are divided into three parts. The first proposes an analysis of complexity and interdisciplinarity as theoretical and methodological principles useful for thinking, organizing and acting in the protection of minors. The role of the social worker in the current system of services, competent in supporting parenting and protecting minors, constitutes the second part. In the third, the meaning of some peculiar components of the professional action of social service in the interaction with the judiciary and in the intervention network is highlighted and specified. In addition to summarizing the proposed aspects, the conclusions identify some open issues.
