Abstract

[Machine translation] The conditions that have made the contemporary city a complex and constantly evolving organism are numerous and extremely intricate: global economic and political disorder, intense mobility, cancellation, space-time distances, the increasing humanitarian emergencies, intense migrations, multi-ethnicity, and with them the problems related to housing needs, coexistence, social conflict, the different cultural models of, organization and management of cities. The analysis of these phenomena has led, in recent years, to the development of a multidisciplinary approach that helps to interpret the city not only starting from its spaces but above all from the deep, changes that characterize the way of experiencing it, focusing mainly on the socio-cultural dimension of these changes and on the transformative power of the elements and practices in which it is structured., The city can therefore be read as an imaginary reference rather than as a defined reality: its geography is changeable, because the forms of urbanity and sociality, encounter and exchange on the part of its regular inhabitants are changeable, or, new, permanent or temporary residents, natives or migrants. The result is an infinite city, full of actors and relationships, of initiatives and skills that compose and recompose urban places and spaces. Places and spaces that attract today,, and they generate a multi-motivated tourist demand. Urban tourism is in fact characterized by the presence of different types of tourists and considers the variety of their motivations, and the subsequent tourist profiles, an element that, qualifies cities and their attractions. These are tourists who increasingly resemble the inhabitants of a city, with whom they share - and ask to do so - environments, interests, experiences. Starting from these character considerations, In general, the research aims to investigate urban tourism dynamics and projects that in Italy and Europe are inspired by the principles of responsible tourism and, in particular, by multiculturalism and participation, considering them, as levers for conflict-free integration, creativity and innovation, economic development and collective well-being., In this perspective, the Migrantour project aimed at promoting a form of responsible tourism “at zero kilometers” is placed, which sees fellow citizens from even distant worlds as protagonists. This is a, proposal that is divided into intercultural urban itineraries, a piece of a cultural offer that combines social commitment in favor of integration and greater social cohesion between residents with the pleasure of visiting multicultural neighborhoods,, to fully establish itself as a new way of experiencing the city.
