Abstract
[Machine translation] The complex and expensive work of creating digital libraries cannot be justified only on the basis of the simple creation of a resource for reading texts in the digital environment. Digital libraries need to be used for complex activities that are not feasible with printed editions. One of them is the formal annotation of texts and the use of annotation to give rise to new ways of working on the text itself.
