Abstract
[Machine translation] This essay studies the intertextual relationships between the first French tragedy about Médée and two hitherto neglected sources: Ovid (Metamorphoses and Heroids) and Georges Buchanan's translation of Euripides' Medea. Although the Senequian model appears to be dominant in La Péruse's work, the contributions of Ovide and Buchanan's interpretation of Euripides prove decisive for the poetic and axiological elaboration carried out in the first French Medea.
