Abstract
[Machine translation] The article examines the well-known verses of Inf. XIII 58-61 and in particular the expression “I held both the keys/of Federigo's heart”. Also studying the occurrences of the combination of the two terms' tighten 'and' dissertation ', the emphasis is placed on the concreteness of the lexicon used by Dante. In particular, the terms seem to refer explicitly to the clerical scrinia, normally equipped with two keys, one of which was entrusted to the official, the other held by the gentleman. The article therefore proposes a 'concrete' reading of Dante's verses that helps to qualify the character to whom the words are lent, Pier della Vigna.
