Abstract
The capability of the disperse phase of w/o microemulsions to function as a reservoir was evidenced using doxorubicine and 1-demethoxy-daunorubicine. The diffusion of the anthracyclines from aqueous solutions to w/o microemulsions, containing lecithin as surfactant and their accumulation in the disperse phase were observed. The diffusion rate was higher for 1-demethoxy-daunorubicine than for doxorubicine
